A Time Apart (MacAuley, #1)A Time Apart by Rebecca Norinne Caudill

Very good start of a story that I would like to finish reading in the next book "Keeper Of My Soul". This is a story of Olivia a woman who has everything except she knows there is something missing in her life, but doesn't know what it is, and a vampire name William who is missing the love of his life that he lost long ago. Strange and mysterious things start to happen when Olivia goes to Ireland. Olivia wants to visit an old castle that has been rebuilt by William, but William declines to let Olivia visit the castle. Olivia is determined and things quickly change once she is able to speak to the owner of the castle. The author seems to written a very good old fashioned kind of vampire story, not the twilight kind, but more of the Dark Shadows television series type. There is mystery, suspense, evil, romance, erotica, and drama throughout the story. It can be read as a standalone or you can see it as a cliff hanger and continue reading as I am the next novel of Keeper Of My Soul". I highly recommend this book to readers who like the old fashioned kind of vampire.

Sacrificed to the Dragon: Part 1 (Stonefire Dragons, #1 part 1 of 4)Sacrificed to the Dragon: Part 1 by Jessie Donovan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I enjoyed and loved the story much more than I thought I would. This was the first dragon shifter story where the main character in the story was a dragon shifter and it took my by surprise! The author did a marvelous job with all the emotions and detailed fill into each character. Tristan and Melanie are both strong headed characters that take you through an exciting adventure in romance. The dragons and humans do not live together in harmony, in fact it is quite the opposite. They can't live together. Dragons live secluded in certain territories and boundaries can't be crossed or it can mean death to dragons by the dragon hunters. The humans have found a use for dragon blood and make a compromise to sacrifice human women to procreate with the dragon shifters for exchange of their blood. Tristan and Melanie are caught in the middle of it and need to come to terms for the both sake. I highly recommend this book who like romance and shape shifters! I will continue on reading the next book in the series.

Lyric’s Accidental Mate, Iron Wolves MC Book 1Lyric’s Accidental Mate, Iron Wolves MC Book 1 by Elle Boon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed the story of shape shifting werewolves. Elle Boon is a very talented writer bringing the characters to life within the story! This is the first book I've read that was action packed, fast paced and has twists and turns keeping me surprised throughout the story.
Lyric and her friends made plans to make some changes in their lives, but instead Lyric has a run-in with her handsome, strong and well built mate to be, who would make any female wolf drool and is ready to defend her after a ferocious pack of wolves who are trying to capture her. She never thought just a little change of events could change her life. Lyric is with the Iron Wolves MC who are very fierce and protect their pack under Kellen the Alpha wolf and best friends with Syn. A fight between two packs will be until the death of the other. I highly recommend this book to paranormal, and erotica readers of 18+.

Stealing the BachelorStealing the Bachelor by Sonya Weiss

It was exceptional, a romance that seemed impossible! Not a long story, but had all the elements for a good romance, with passion. Young adults of 16+ will enjoy this story of Ann the headstrong beauty and the handsome, geeky man Eric. Ann has a cozy chocolate store of her own, and has bad luck with men. Eric a well to do Lawyer who wants nothing to do with other women, but Ann since he first saw her it was love at first site! Their paths must cross because of a very serious situation Ann is in needing Eric's help. His help comes with a price and it doesn't concern money, but something that could change their lives between the two. I highly recommend this story for Romance Readers. I won this First Reads book from a Goodreads giveaway.

Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3)Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved it! I am never disappointed when reading Patricia Briggs books. The story kept me in awe, interested and full of surprises! Charles has been having trouble and haunted by spirits while his work as the muscle in the pack, and it's troubling to Anna his Omega mate. Anna being concerned lets his father Bran know. Bran in hopes to make things better for his son Charles send him and Anna on a mission. Someone has been killing and raping children and young adult male and females. They believe it is a male with some type of magic doing the crimes. Could be a witch or maybe a Fae. Anna and Charles start working together with the police, another fae, witches and Alpha werewolf to find the killer. Weird and mysterious things are happening and Charles and Anna need to stop the killer! Very faced paced, exciting and keeps you intrigued the whole story. Good as a stand alone or continue with the fourth novel Dead Heat.
