I loved this third novel the same as the 2nd Murder Of Crows. The author is doing a great job as she continues this series of Meg and the Others. Meg is a Cassandra sangue, which means she is a blood profit. The Others are Wolves who are shape shifters who can shift to look like humans, but see humans as meet, the leader Wolfgaurd is Simon of the Lakeside Courtyard has become best friends with Meg because she doesn't smell like humans and is a Cassandra sangue and will do what it takes to protect her as the relationship evolves in almost a romantic way. The Others in the Courtyard have all befriended Meg, which consist of the Sanguinaties and are Vampires and call Meg a sweet blood that's as sweet and kind, child like personality that will protect her and her kind. Tess is a certain kind of terra indigene that can make all Others and humans very wary of her and what she can do, and is another of Meg's friends. Others are also owls, crows, ponies and women who control the elements of weather. New characters come to life in this story making it more exciting and suspenseful. Monty's daughter Lizzy has come into the picture when her mother has unexpectedly turned up dead. Who and why is the question, along with why there is trouble in other villages with HFL, Humans First and Last movement against the Others is an ongoing battle. The tragedy's with the other female Cassandra sangue of being pregnant and dying. Very suspenseful and dramatic story, you won't want to stop reading. I highly recommend this story to other and will continue with the 4th Marked In Flesh.
